Chhaya Banga is the Founder & Principal Designer of Masterworks Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based interior design and advisory practice built on a simple belief: better decisions create better spaces.

With more than 20 years of international experience, she leads projects as sole point of accountability from strategy through completion, helping homeowners, businesses and organisations navigate complex decisions with clarity and confidence.

She brings more than one discipline to every project - working as an interior designer, stepping in as project manager or applying architectural thinking to resolve a difficult layout or project challenge - always holding to the same standard: clear thinking, practical decisions and beautiful spaces that last.

WHAT EXPERIENCE TAUGHT ME

One of the greatest privileges of my career has been working with the same clients across multiple projects as their homes, businesses and lives evolved. Looking back, one lesson became unmistakably clear: the quality of a project is determined long before construction begins.

The earliest decisions - choosing a property, reviewing drawings, planning a renovation - have the greatest influence on functionality, cost and long-term value. Once construction starts, those choices become progressively harder and more expensive to change.

That realisation transformed the way I practise - leading every project as a single point of accountability, whatever role it demands. Good design begins with making better decisions.
